Dear Fellow KMTA Members,
I am excited to announce the Inaugural Hilltopper Summer Music Camp hosted by Western Kentucky University this summer from June 25th to June 30th! The summer camp will have both overnight and day camp options and will feature lessons, performances, ensembles, music elective courses, guest artists, and a variety of other camp activities.
As a part of the camp, my piano colleague, Dr. Jessie Welsh, and I are directing a Piano Camp for students in 6th to 12th grades with at least 2 years of experience. We invite your students to participate in this wonderful opportunity! Students will receive several private lessons, participate in master classes, play and perform in a piano ensemble or chamber ensemble, take music elective courses, and perform on our final day piano recital. Students should come prepared with at least three pieces of repertoire – two of which should be performance ready.
